This collection of sculpture is part of my my solo exhibition ‘Through Ice and Fire’, showing from 12 September 2025 until June 2026 at the Polar Museum, Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, UK.

These creations originate from my collaboration with climate scientist and geochemist Dr Joanne Johnson (BAS). They embody my emotional response to the intensifying temperature battle the world now faces and reference our impactful, industrial past alongside scientific motifs used in crucial climate research data presentation . The use of metaphor and symbolism in assembled, additive sculpture allows me to communicate a bigger picture freely, and titles involving a play on words bring multiple meanings to some pieces. The interplay of materials and processes provide diverse layers to consider, as every day, temperatures continue to rise in both planetary terms and those of our human behaviours. Incredible science is happening however, and art can be a way to inspire and deepen thought about all that is involved.
