In Greek mythology, Chione is the goddess of snow and the north wind. The Ancient Greeks explained their world by creating gods who embodied natural forces, materiality, and the shaping of humankind. Their belief — that all elements of nature are interconnected — is one I share.

Today, the decline of ice, a critical regulator of global temperature and sea level, is accelerating due to human-driven atmospheric warming. The loss of this stabilising force represents an existential challenge: heat increasingly outpaces cold, disrupting thresholds that once maintained global stability. I envision this as conflict - cold vying with heat, now breaching scientific parameters and tearing at the fragile balance of Earth’s systems.

Making this hidden reality visible, turns it into a call for change.
